Brussels Sprouts and BACON!

Who doesn’t like bacon? This dish is a delight and has you going for a second helping. It can be used as a hot appetizer or side dish. Bon Appetit!

Brussels Sprouts are becoming ever so popular these days and are high on the Bullet Proof Diet List for solid nutritional benefits. To name of few for health sakes:

  • High in Fiber, Vitamins, and Minerals

  • High in Nutrients

  • Rich in Antioxidants

  • Helps Protect Against Cancer

  • Rich in Vitamin K

  • Helps Maintain a Healthy Blood Sugar Level

  • Contains ALA Omega-3 Fatty Acids

  • May Reduce Inflammation

Brussels Sprouts and Bacon

Ingredients:

  • Fresh Brussels Sprouts 1 pound

  • Organic Coconut Oil 1-2 Tblsp (just enough to saute the sprouts)

  • 2 minced Garlic Cloves

  • BACON! Yikes, optional but delicious!!! Use as much as you like :)

  • 1/2 Tsp Cayenne

  • Cook bacon in pan first- if you skip the bacon, use coconut oil to cook sprouts

  • Saute garlic next, then add the sprouts and cook lightly ( i like to brown them to a crisp!)

  • Toss the cherry tomatoes on top of the dish and enjoy!

  • Bon Appetit
