Designing A New Life In The Now

As the creator of my life, I've found it so important to use my imagination every day and be laser-focused and intentional about my priorities and where I’m going.

Nevill Goddard shares his thoughts about this idea of using our imagination and says

Our imagination connects us with the state desired. But we must use imagination masterfully, not as an onlooker thinking of the end, but as a partaker thinking from the end. We must actually be there in imagination. If we do this, our subjective experience will be realized objectively.”

The next step is to write our thoughts down and make a plan for our new future selves.

So I did! It’s such a beautiful path, a freeing, and empowering practice once I did this!

Every day I implement a little bit more of my ideas (seeing and feeling them in the now) because these baby steps are what get us there ~ to our desires and destination.

Just an hour ago I listened to a ‘reel’ on Instagram that said:

  • 1. Surround yourself with people whose eyes light up when they see you coming

  • 2. Slowly is the fastest way to get to where you want to be

  • 3. The top of one mountain is the bottom of the next, so keep climbing

I’ve recently been living in a new town, and cultivating new friendships takes work.

So, #1 above is my favorite because our future depends on who we hang around with!

(Re-read that) I want to spend time with those that light me up and I do the same for them.

Love is the basic ingredient here.

I’m working on #2 every day because I now have a bit more clarity in my life, and 9 months ago I was still struggling to find any clarity!

And I might say that during this season where clarity is nowhere to be found, sitting with it and welcoming the unknown can feel calming.

By allowing the waves to ebb and flow, we too can do the same without any pressure or expectation.

That leaves #3. This one is my life mantra and the world around me has been unfolding exactly like that. Once I reach the top of one mountain, in the distance I can see the next one waiting for me to climb.

So I tell myself to keep climbing, especially in the most difficult times when another mountain is not what I want to see,

You won't fall if you don't climb, but there's no joy in living your whole life on the ground.

Climbing may be hard, but it's easier than growing up in my opinion. In some ways, climbing in the clouds is comforting. You can no longer see how high off the ground you are!

Just keep going and don’t look back. You're not going that way.
